Laurent MONTARON

Laurent Montaron was born in 1972 in Verneuil sur Avre in Eure. He lives and works in Saulchery and Paris.

An interdisciplinary artist, he creates films, photographs, installations, sound and performative works. His work draws on the history of technology to examine belief systems, investigating the ways in which innovations have continually given rise to new ways of observing and understanding the world. Through his critiques and research on the media and the tools that shape our representations, his work lays bare the paradoxes that accompany our vision of modernity.
