Katinka Bock was born in 1976 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She lives and works between Paris and Berlin.

Whether she intervenes in landscapes and urban spaces or creates forms, objects, or installations for indoor spaces, Katinka Bock always connects her work with the context and territory in which she operates. Her interest is particularly focused on the space of the city and the political, a space defined by and for a human community, shaped by customs, symbols, and history. In these interstices, she explores the poetic dimension of public space and, conversely, opens the interior spaces of the places where she exhibits by creating unexpected resonances with the external environment...
