Terencio GONZÀLES
Terencio González was born in 1987 in Paris. He lives and works in the same city.
The poetics of Terencio González's work escapes the pictorial conventions of our time. His paintings are the result of a long tension maintained like a breath which always unfolds further, further still. There we find beautiful pictorial alliances where little by little the detail appears, the color very gently invades the canvas and combines transparency with the density of the hues, fragility and power.[...]
In all of his work, Terencio González seeks to free himself from geometric tradition while retaining a few traces, a few signs which, thanks to their perceptual stability, can thus anchor a very personal richness of creation. He is, for me, one of the great painters of his generation.
