Michel DECTOR
2021

Series of 15 digital prints on 200g paper, each 21 x 29.7 cm

Michel Dector transforms numbers into mist, translating an infinity of abstract equations into paint. Numbers become his alphabet, constantly articulated in the turmoil of aerosol colors. Cotton sheets, spray paint, and masking tape are the tools he uses to materialize the ghosts of questioning, capturing imprints of leaves diseased or damaged by pests. "…Taking into account the various forms of life, human and non-human, not to erase their differences or homogenize them, but to perceive how they constitute varied modes and diverse modulations of a common life…"
