From a single tree split in two or four, Christian Lapie brings forth figures - colossal and slender anthropomorphic sculptures. Roughly shaped with a chainsaw, then charred by fire, they stand alone, in pairs, or in groups.

Born in Reims. Lives in Val-de-Vesle in Champagne and in Ardèche.
