Johann LE GUILLERM

Johann Le Guillerm was born in 1969 in Pruillé-le-Chétif in Sarthe.

An artist from the circus, Johann Le Guillerm joined the first class of the National Circus Arts Center in 1985.

After working with the Archaos circus and participating in the Dromesko Aviary adventure, he co-founded Cirque O, the adventure lasted 2 years. In 1994, he created his own company Cirque Ici and his first solo show, Ou ça? which will tour around the world for five years.

In 1996 he received the Grand Prix National du Cirque.

After a world tour during which he confronted the imbalances of disabled, traumatized and self-sufficient worlds, he became involved in the Attraction project in 2001.

A work in progress in constant evolution, enriched over time with works that form a landscape with infinite borders: On the track, he creates the constantly evolving show Secret Temps 1 (2003) followed by SecretTemps 2 (2012) then his 3rd Terces mutation (2021).

In 2001, he created La Motte, a planet within sight, an invitation to take a step back from the vision of our earth, it is an instrument for perceiving our human condition, it offers the sensory experience of a living globality. , fragile, in movement. Several prototypes presented to the public will follow one another in 2003, 2004 and 2007, a new one is currently being designed.

In 2006, he proposed Les Imaginographes, observation instruments which explore avenues of his research and the question of point of view inviting the public to look, feel, touch and react. In 2005, he received the Circus Arts Prize SACD.

Notably programmed in 2004 and 2008 at the Avignon Festival, these creations are broadcast in Latin America, Europe, Oceania, Asia, etc.

In 2014, he designed an “architextural” performance in public space, La Transumante, a mobile form in reconfiguration permanent composed of 150 to 450 wooden squares three meters long manipulated by ten builders, presented for the first time during the Nuit Blanche in Paris and since then in France, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Abu Dhabi.. .

Three years later, on stage, he created Le Pas Grand Chose, a conference show in which he gave his point of view on his research by conducting experiments on sight.

In 2017, it became the SACD Grand Prix.

In 2018, as part of Attraction - A season with Johann Le Guillerm in Nantes; he creates two new works The Aplanatarium, a observatory of hovering objects and Les Drolic, aquatic kinetic flowers, Attraction's first collaborative works where the public is invited to create their own prototypes.

In 2019, he teamed up with star chef Alexandre Gauthier to create Encatation, a culinary experience.
