Roulé boulé
"Roulé boulé" is a collection of balls, balloons, and spheres discarded by the Mediterranean Sea. Since 2020, these items have been collected step by step along the coastline, from seawalls and rocks to the surf and beaches. The installation forms a constellation of points and a network of trajectories, both real and imagined, derived from the sea's major currents. Glistening in the sunlight, cracked, weathered by salt, polished, scratched, and sculpted by time, these are lost and discarded balls, replayed within the exhibition space. They narrate a multitude of perspectives—from carefree beach days and children's games to the diverse uses of the coastline, from plastic flotation to the reality of migrations—a landscape of this sea amidst the lands.
